Zonal PMS Setup

Non Room Postings

Zonal PMS can serve as the primary solution for managing all sales reporting. In this setup, all non room postings (such as cash, card, etc) can be posted to an assigned outlet within the PMS, allowing for complete reconciliation.

This functionality is not available when importing PMS sales and payments into Aztec and is not compatible when using Aztec Deposits or Sales Ledgers

Requirements

The following should be provided Zonal Hotel Solutions:

  • Outlet Name

Setup

Head Office Site Master

POS Integration Configuration

Navigate to Base Data → Estate Structure → Site Settings → CLM

Follow these steps to configure the plugin information:

  1. From the Plugin drop down select HLS

  2. Set the following information

    • Enable Non Room Posting check box

    • Outlet Name - as provided by Zonal Hotel Solutions

    • Posting Frequency (in seconds) - how often postings will be sent to Zonal PMS

  3. Click Save

Payment Method Mapping

Mapping between Aztec and Zonal PMS payment methods must be completed to correctly sending postings to the PMS.

This configuration is typically carried out by Zonal; however, care should be taken when adding new payment methods to the organisation to ensure they are correctly mapped, preventing any incorrect payments from appearing in the PMS, for more information contact your Zonal Account Representative

Follow these steps to complete payment method mapping:

  1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Zonal\CLM

    If the file exists then it will be used on startup of the plugin otherwise if the file does not exist it will create a new one upon initial run and add default mappings

  2. Edit the HLSPaymentMapping.XML file to map Aztec Payment Method IDs to Zonal PMS payment types

    • Cash

    • CreditCard

    • BACS

    • Cheque

    • GiftCard

    Any new payment methods will be reported to cash by default

  3. Save edits to the XML

    In order to save the file the Zonal CLM Engine Service should be stopped and restarted once edits are made so that the plugin will update

  4. Repeat this action on all required sites
